Frequently Asked Questions

It’s super-easy! If you can install a fence post, you can install a DrivewayLocker. To put it simply, dig two holes, put the posts in concrete, and you’re done. There are more specific directions on the “Downloads” page, but you get the idea.
-
The DrivewayLocker is purposely low-tech. Common outdoor gate problems include sagging/misalignment (due to hinge wear, ground shift, or material expansion), rust/corrosion, sticking/faulty latches, material warping (wood), and malfunctioning automatic parts (motors, sensors, power issues). None of these things are problems with the DrivewayLocker. There are no electronics to malfunction, no tracks to maintain, no mechanical parts to go wrong. It can be installed on slopes and in areas where you don’t have room for swinging gates.
